Startup kit, Samurai, and Silent Salesman are all software as a service products. Your subscription includes: 

  • The right to use the software for the duration of your paid subscription

  • Free architectural maintenance of the software components (all software updates are free, and we don’t charge to apply them to your website).

Officially, we quote one year to achieve first page rankings on multiple keywords. These statistics vary based on industry and competition, and they are highly contingent on the amount of content you post on your website, newsletters, and Social Media.

  • 1/3 of our clients achieve first page rankings in the first six months
  • 1/3 of our clients achieve first page rankings in a year
  • For 1/3 of our clients, it takes over a year

We always recommend to clients that while they are building up their organic digital footprint, they should invest in Google search ads. Google claims that any ad investment yields a 2 to 1 ROI within 90 days; a metric all our campaigns outperform. 

The recommendation and official position of our organization is to run both organic and paid campaigns concurrently. At the very least, this will create a breakeven scenario to mitigate your marketing overhead.

This is a software as a service. If you stop paying for the software, the service will be terminated. All the data, design, content and domain authority are your property. You are welcome to export this information prior to cancelling your service.  If you need assistance, we are happy to assist you through a secondary engagement.

As of 2020 StyleLabs does not offer exclusivity to any client. There are 10 spots on the first page of Google and working with more than one client does not impact the others. Per our agreement, we promise to keep your file confidential and we will not use your strategy to develop similar campaigns for any other party.

We absolutely can. 

Keep in mind the quality score of an ad is determined by not just the quality of the ad,but also the landing page experience.  If you want to launch an ad campaign prior to the launch of your new website, we recommend building a one page landing page and pointing the ads there to ensure optimal relevancy, and therefore, lowest cost-per-click and highest impression visibility.

We absolutely can.  Part of the Marketing in a Box set up is Social Media Standardization, development of social assets and social standards, writing your first two blogs, launching newsletters, developing your mind map and SEO baseline, and your overarching strategy.  We recommend this be launched one to two months prior to your website launch.

Full cyber security set up is a part of our hosting and security package, which is billed annually.  This includes, but is not limited to the following:

StyleLabs prices are firm and reflect the massive amount of time, money, and research we have put into our technology.. We understand there are cheaper alternatives in town, but keep in mind, you get what you pay for. We have a strong record of performance, high satisfaction rate, and best-in-class technology and marketing services.

There’s a difference between hiring a web designer or an agency, and a business building marketing strategy company like us. Our goal is to empower, educate and equip you to grow and scale for years to come; but we need the right budget and tools to do the right job the first time. Discounted prices mean compromising our product and we won’t do that.

We are able to accelerate your production schedule through an additional engagement. There is a 20% surcharge to build and deliver your website within two - four weeks, depending on your subscription. We will also require you to commit to firm dates for completion of client forms and client meetings to ensure we can hit the timelines we agree to.

Once your website is completed we will invite you into the lab for a delivery meeting where we will take you through the entire scope and verify our deliverables together.  An e-learning platform will also be available to your organization that will teach you (at your convenience) how to use your platform.

Live Support:  For the first year of your website or platform subscription we have deposited 60 minutes of free support / training into your account that you can leverage in 15 minute increments on an as required basis. Please keep in mind if these credits are not used in the first year they will expire. 

Please note that this does not apply to Marketing in a Box clients.

You will be provided with a video manual that you can reference through your platform, as required. Logging in and making changes to your website is very easy and should be no more challenging than making a change to a word document.

Upon signing we will require access to your domain registrar as well as your domain host. If this is provided to us we will make the necessary changes to point your website and launch. Please note, we will not commence the development of your campaign until we have confirmed access to your registrar.

At times, your previous web developer may have moved your domain into his or her portfolio. You may engage us to work with your previous supplier to transfer the domain out and into your own account. 

Another complication with launching a website is how your DNS has been set up. If your DNS has been set up to delegate to a named server we recommend that you decouple this prior to launching so that you can manage your digital assets with more control and granularity. Again, you can engage us to assist you with this on an hourly basis.

The domain registrar is where you register your domain, like rebel.ca. The host is where all of your website data is uploaded. Your registrar has records that point to specific servers and IPs that make what’s in the host viewable online. Companies like GoDaddy and Rebel can be hosts and registrars. When you launch your Samurai site you will no longer require hosting because you will be on our platform. We will simply need to go into the registrar and point your domain record to the Samurai host server. At this point you can cancel your hosting and achieve cost savings.

Hosting / Architectural Maintenance - As we discussed when we developed your website, all websites are hosted on the Samurai Server / Brain.  This means when Google pushes updates, we introduce new modules, or something in the architecture needs to be fixed, we don’t have to charge for maintenance on an individual basis. A tweak in the “brain” applies the fix to all 500+ sites on our network.

Security / SSL - The primary reason why SSL is used, is to keep sensitive information sent across the Internet encrypted so that only the intended recipient can access it. This is important because the information you send on the Internet is passed from computer to computer to get to the destination server.  All of our websites have contact forms where such information is transmitted.  Furthermore, SSL is a Google ranking signal and does impact your SEO.  The certificate is issued through our server and third party certificates are not compatible with Samurai.

Hosting is billed annually with SSL. If you want your website in the middle of the year you will only pay a prorated amount.  Hosting / SSL is renewed each year at the annual amount on the first of January. 

Please note that SSL is not prorated and unused hosting is not refundable as it is paid to our provider on an annual basis.

You own your website, your interface, your content, videos, pictures and authority/SEO from your domain.  We own the technology in the software behind your website. If you ever choose to leave us, you can engage us to provide you with a full export (2-4 hours) which your new web developer can deploy onto any content management system.  Please note that the back office of Samurai is designed for self administration.   That means that you could engage us to build your website, pay your hosting and security and never have to connect with us again.  You have all the tools you need to manage that website on your own for as long as you would like.

Please note that Samurai does not have FTP access and since it is built on a shared library/brain system source code is not available for access or use.

The structure of each product line looks the same as other sites in its product class. All of our sites have been through extensive useability testing and have been structured for both optimization and conversion. Within the site, several customizations and modifications can be made depending on your scope, however, certain mechanisms like elevator buttons, thumb jumps, above the fold experience, inside page structure, service structure, and blog structure are standardized.

The website and marketing tools are all part of the same structure; it’s like buying a car. The website is the exterior of the car and the CMS, CRM, marketing tools, etc are like the steering wheel,  stereo,  glove box and  gears.  It’s all built and comes together in one piece, though if you choose not to use the stereo, you don’t have to.

The term is 12 months. After that, you may cancel with 30 days notice.

You’re welcome to cancel anytime. You are responsible for 50% of the subscription cost for the remainder of the months. Upon payment of the balance you may cancel.

There is no contract term. You may cancel with 60 days notice at any time. If there is something we can do to improve, we ask you give us the opportunity to do so prior to cancelling. 

Yes, this option is now available. The set up cost for this is $1250 and a monthly subscription is $199 per month.

Congratulations! being on the first page of Google means you’re not starting from scratch.  If you’re already ranking well, it means your domain has authority and you have the potential of ranking on more core / semantic keywords relevant to your industry.  Without our platform, you have the ability to rank for 10, 20, 30 keywords not just a few.  Furthermore, ranking on Google will bring you traffic.  Our platform is designed to help take your prospects on a journey and convert them into clients or evangelists or (hopefully) both. 

Our Process   

  1. Client Approval
  2. Client receives a welcome letter (ONE business day) and will have ONE business week to complete their discovery.  The welcome letter will have dates for Client Interview, Guided Discovery, White Glove and Launch.  
  3. Once the discovery is completed, it will be reviewed by a Project Manager and a call will be scheduled to bridge any gaps in the submission.  
  4. A campaign plan will be developed and the client will then be invited to a 90-minute Guided Discovery session. 
  5. The campaign will then be sent to Production (content and graphics)
  6. UX / Design / Interface Phase and Meeting (Elite only)
  7. Content will be provided to clients 48 hours prior to the White Glove meeting.  Any requested changes will be made and published to the live website.  During the White Glove meeting, the content and site will be presented to the client in the first showing. One round of mutually agreeable changes will be noted during this meeting and completed during detailing / quality assurance. 
  8. Upon completion of detailing and quality assurance the site will be pushed live.  
  9. Google Analytics, Google My Business, Search Console and SEO reporting*

*It is the clients responsibility to provide us with the Google My Business verification code and access to their domain prior to commencement of their campaign.

With free platforms, you create an account, select a template and then you are on your own.  Your site is not professionally written, not designed for google search and not integrated.
